Bigcommerce is a great powerhouse in the eCommerce builder world.
It ranks #2 on my top 5 list.
So, something is going right.
I thought it would be nice though:
To break down each price plan they offer to get a better idea of them.
And, a little direction for you on what I might choose.
OK, let’s go
Bigcommerce Pricing Plans List
Let’s quickly break down each one for basic pricing and discounts.
- Standard Bigcommerce Plan – $29.95 Monthly or $359.46 Annually which is 10% off – Sales Up To $50K
- Bigcommerce Plus – $79.95 Monthly or $863.46 Annually which is 10% off – Sales Up To $150K
- Bigcommerce Pro – $249.95 Monthly or $2699.46 Annually which is 10% off – Sales Up To $400K or an additional $150 a month per $200k in sales.
- Bigcommerce Enterprise – You have to call to get info on this plan because it is more tailored to your business instead of a set price.
OK:
Now, will look at each one a bit more and what it has to offer you.
Auto Upgrade Pricing If Over Limit
I’m not really sure how I feel about this.
But, figured I’d just make a quick section about this.
So, if you’re selling up to $50K your good to go in the Standard pricing plan
But, if you’re a buck over they are going to auto-update you into the other plan
So, from Standard to Plus which is about $50 bucks difference.
I’m not saying bad.
But, I’d love for them to just be like, hey, you are selling more.
Let’s get you to this plan.
Especially could be a disadvantage of low-margin items your selling.
Now, I would say don’t let this deter you at all.
Just something I wanted to bring up.
Standard Bigcommerce Plan
Perfect for that just starting out eCommerce company or under $50K in sales or less.
They come in with many features minus a few.
Some key things:
- Sales up to $50K (If you go over they move you up to the next plan that fits)
- Lacks cart abandonment (allows you to send automated emails to try and get them to finish checking out)
- Lack of Customers groups and segmentation (Basically, Let’s You Create Groups For Your Customers. Pretty cool, because you can create loyalty programs and more)
- No Bigcommerce transaction fees
- PayPay options costing 2.9% + $0.30¢ per transaction
Overall, it’s a great option for starting out an eCommerce store or one growing.
It lacks a few items but that’s OK.
You’re just starting out and it’s ok to start here and upgrade.
